Halloween

This Halloween, I dressed up as Rosie the Riveter. Rosie the Riveter is a iconic made up person on a famous poster. Even though she is made up, Rosie has inspired many woman to build vehicles in World War Two.

Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. To celebrate, most children dress up in costume and go “Trick-or-Treating”. The first Halloween was about lighting bonfires to ward off ghosts. To read more about Halloween history, go to https://www.history.com/topics/halloween/history-of-halloween.

A tradition my family always does is dressing up my dog and going “Trick-or-Treating”. After we get back home, I will count my candy and sort it into piles. If it is Friday or Saturday, I’ll watch a movie with my family.

One of my favorite candies is Twix. Twix have a chocolate coating on the outside, a cracker in the inside, and creamy caramel. Sometimes when I have to much candy, I will donate it to “Just Tryan It “. “Just Tryan It” is a place where you can donate extra candy to the UNC Cancer Hospital for kids who can’t “Trick-or-Treat”.
